School Groups

Dar Danse specialises in facilitating commmunity projects, designed and led by school groups, where students can make a visible and direct difference. A unique opportunity for young people to take leadership of a project in order to see through small-scale, but life-changing work in a rural area on the Atlantic coast of Morocco.

Projects focus on improving animal welfare and environmental awareness, by means of fun visual, practical and even musical sessions, with the local orphanage and schools.

We can provide a full package for visiting schools, to include accommodation in traditional Moroccan rooms at our beautiful retreat on the beach, with swimming pool and gardens leading down to the sea. Parents can feel safe in the knowledge that their children are being well looked after in safe surroundings, whilst having an unforgettable experience in a third-world country. They will be given the opportunity to visit a local child´s home - often an eye-opening experience!

Alongside the community projects with local children, we can offer numerous activities such as riding or quad-biking on the beach, kiting, surfing, visits to Essaouira, and workshops in traditional Moroccan crafts such as art, basket-weaving, pottery, cookery etc. Our location lends itself perfectly to geography, science, art and photography, cultural and watersports trips too, in tandem with, or independently of community projects. For pupils with experience or interest in dancing, we can of course also offer classes in our beautiful open-air studio!  (Should your school have an enthusiastic dance department, we can also tailor-make a course where dancing and community projects could be given equal time)

We, as a family, have over a decade's experience running a variety of courses for young people, and will tailor-make trips according to a school's specific needs.

Please do get in touch to discuss your requirements!
